Students will create a 2-4 minute documentary about the history of their state. Students may use WeVideo, Imovie, or any other video creation tool of their choice. This video should tell the history of your state through the creative use images and words. It should include any important historical events or figures that are associated with the state (ex. California could include the Gold Rush, SF Earthquake, the Donner party). Students must site all images in their ending credits. A teacher created example will be provided on the tech links page. This is to give you an idea of what your documentary might look like, please do not copy the dialogue/format exactly.....use your own creativity.
Wikipedia is a great spot to start your research on the history of your state. Once you find a topic or two to dig into, broaden your research.
